Years ago, my family and I went on vacation to a place with an enormous pool. It was great for kids because it had a huge shallow end where they could paddle. At the other end, the water was so deep I couldn’t stand!
The church is like that pool.
Some churches present the message of Christ simply to non-believers. They invite people to try the water, but they’re too shallow for more experienced swimmers.
Others build up believers to swim in the deep end, but if they’re not careful, they isolate non-believers who are afraid of drowning!
