“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 1:6
It’s a question that rattles the minds of many, but it starts from the wrong place. You didn’t earn your salvation, so how could you lose it? If Jesus is the one who saves, then Jesus is the one who keeps. Scripture isn’t unclear or vague—it’s bold, firm, and comforting. If you’ve truly come to Christ in repentance and faith, He doesn’t just welcome you—He holds you forever.
The Bible is crystal clear: Jesus will never reject a sinner who comes to Him in repentance (John 3:16, 6:37; Psalm 102:17; Isaiah 1:18-19; Matthew 11:28-30). People often ask, “Can you lose your salvation?”—but that’s the wrong question. Since you didn’t save yourself, you can’t un-save yourself.
Jesus Himself said in John 10:28-29, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” When Jesus calls it eternal life, He means it—salvation isn’t temporary or conditional. It doesn’t start and stop. It’s forever.
As He also promises in John 6:39–40, “This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me… that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
Salvation isn’t a lease—it’s a sealed deal. Eternal life means eternal, not temporary, not fragile, not at risk. When Jesus saves, He secures. When the Father gives, no one can take. If you belong to Him, you are in His hand, and nothing and no one can pry you out. So, stop living in fear and start living in faith. Jesus doesn’t lose His own.
If you’ve been saved, do you believe you can never be un-saved?
