8 Concepts of Christ
- 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 – I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.

12 Ways Jesus Said He Was the One True God
#1 Jesus said He came down from Heaven
- John 6:38, 41-42, 60, 66 – For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me…At this the[y] began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”… On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” …From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
#2 Jesus said He was more than just a good man
- Mark 10:17-18 – As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.”
#3 Jesus said He was the Son of Man
- Daniel 7:13-14 (600 BC) – In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
#4 Jesus performed miracles
- John 10:36b-39 – “Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son?’ Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
#5 Jesus said He was God
- John 8:58-59 – “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham [eternal] was born, I am [Exodus 3:14]!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
- John 10:30-33 – “I and the Father are one.” Again the[y]…picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any of these…but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
#6 Jesus publicly confirmed He was God
- Mark 14:61-64 – …Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

- John 15:7 – If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
#10 Jesus promised to judge all people as God
- John 5:22-24 – Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
#11 Jesus said He was the only way to Heaven
- John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
