How did the Old Testament prepare people for one Savior?

Where does the Bible say that Jesus is our Savior?

•Matthew 1:21 – “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus [meaning Yahweh is Savior], because he will save his people from their sins.”

•Luke 2:11 – …a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
•Luke 2:28-30 – Simeon took him [Jesus] in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation.”
•Titus 2:13 – …our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Is Jesus Christ our only Savior?

•John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

•Acts 4:12 – Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

•1 Timothy 2:5-6 – For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Who does Jesus save?

•Acts 5:30-31 – The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.
•1 John 4:14 – …the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

•Luke 19:10 – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”

How is Christianity the most exclusive and inclusive belief system?

•Luke 13:23-24 – …someone said to him, “Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”

•John 10:9 – “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved.”

What does Jesus save us from?

•2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 – The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

•Matthew 1:21 – Jesus…will save his people from their sins.
•2 Timothy 1:10 – …it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

•2 Peter 2:4,9 – For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment…then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment…

How will Jesus Christ be our Savior at His Second Coming?
