The story of Jonah is controversial, but it’s a foreshadowing of Jesus – and Jesus clearly spoke of it as being a real event in history.
So how could a man live in a fish? Well, the natural explanation seems a bit far-fetched. So another explanation many put forward is that God supernaturally sustained Jonah’s life. And then a third way of thinking is that Jonah actually died in the fish and was brought back to life.
