As REAL WOMEN, we all struggle with faults, flaws, and failures. Making matters worse, we tend to compare and criticize. The answer to the problems in us and around us comes to us from Heaven.
Jesus, God’s only Son, came down to earth in flesh and bone to live a perfect life and die for all of our sins, the things that we do wrong or fail to do right in our hearts, minds, and actions. But not only that, He rose again, conquering sin and death in order to give us new and eternal life.
Jesus knows what it’s like to be human on an imperfect earth, and He promises us that we will live forever with Him in the perfection and glory of heaven if we choose to follow Him. Jesus also helps us in this life by giving us the Holy Spirit to guide our steps and strengthen us to live for Him as we overcome trouble and become more like Him.
God has already done all the work for saving us. We get to respond to His invitation to be in relationship, by confessing that we are sinners who need His help and ask for Him to change our hearts toward Him daily. God is a good, loving Father who wants to adopt us into His family so He can get to know us and help us live the life He has prepared for us.
If you have not yet accepted this invitation, you can offer something like this to God in prayer: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
We recommend that you talk to another Christian about this decision, and join a Bible teaching church so that they can help you continue to learn and grow.
